Amanda Wachter

Amanda boasts an impressive career spanning over twenty-five years in the bakery industry. Her journey commenced immediately after high school when she embarked on her professional path with a local cookie manufacturer. There, she diligently worked her way through various production positions, acquiring an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of manufacturing and baking processes. Her proficiency and dedication caught the attention of the Research and Development (R&D) team, where she contributed her development and foundational skills to the creation of manufacturing specifications, procedures, and formulas. Amanda’s expertise quickly elevated her to the position of backup for the R&D Director, a testament to her exceptional abilities. With her wealth of experience, she also took on the role of Production/QA liaison, stepping in to resolve issues across all facets of the production process as they arose.

In 2019, Amanda briefly ventured into a different career path but soon realized that baking was her true passion. When the opportunity arose to join the Janey Lou’s team in 2022 as a Bakery Technician, she eagerly seized the chance to return to what she loves doing.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Amanda cherishes the company of her husband, two sons, and their dogs. She also finds joy in activities such as golfing, reading books, and passionately supporting the Kansas City Chiefs football team.
