Amanda Wachter

Amanda Wachter

Amanda brings over twenty-five years of bakery industry expertise to her role as Quality Manager. Her career began straight out of high school with a local cookie manufacturer, where she developed a hands-on understanding of manufacturing and baking. She excelled through various production roles, eventually joining the Research and Development (R&D) team. In R&D, Amanda played a vital role in creating manufacturing specifications, procedures, and formulas, and soon became the R&D Director’s backup, a position that highlighted her technical skills and reliability. Her role also evolved to include Production/Quality Assurance (QA) liaison, where she skillfully addressed issues across the production process.

After briefly exploring a different career path in 2019, Amanda was drawn back to her passion for baking. She joined Janey Lou’s in 2022 as a Bakery Technician, embracing the opportunity to contribute her extensive knowledge to the team.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and their dogs. She also loves golfing, reading, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
