James began his baking career at Sam’s Club in Provo UT where he gained recognition as the top grossing bakery company wide two years in a row. Parallel to managing Sam’s bakery, James and his Wife Angie opened a retail bakery and sandwich shop in Provo. James would work from 1am to prepare bread and baked goods for the first store and then after manage production at the Sam’s Club location.

Once the store gain popularity James and Angie both moved full-time into the retail business and opened two more locations. Then in 2005 they began selling some of the bakery treats in local C-stores and Janey Lou’s was born.

James holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Utah. He enjoys playing golf, hunting, shooting trap, and spending time with his wife Angie and their family Ryan & Sam, Jared, and Parker.
